Bernie Sanders Mittens Meme (2021)

Bernie Sanders attended Joe Biden's inauguration ceremony in a winterized parka, paper mask, black pants, socks and shoes, and a pair of oversized floppy mittens made for him by a second grade teacher in Vermont.

Immediately amused by the photo of him sitting alone at the inauguration ceremony, people started making memes with Bernie sitting in all sorts of familiar scenes. It was so popular that a NYU masters student named Nick Sawhney created a website that allowed people to put Bernie anywhere in the world with the help of Google Maps Street View (Unfortunately it is no longer active).
