Steve Jobs announced theFirst iPhone on January 9, 2007. The company released it on June 29, 2007.

For good and bad, the iPhone changed when and how people accessed and interacted with the Internet.

The iPhone led to the increased popularity of mobile apps — especially after Steve Jobs launched the Apple App Store in 2008.

Today the iPhone has a 29.27% worldwide market share and a 60.77% market share in the US.
